What’s new?

"Dear Stratego players all over the world,

Great news we have got two new supporters agreed to sponsor the Olympiad and Championships. This gives us the opportunity to offer all players a special “Stratego Olympiad 2005 and 2006” designed Stratego Sweater. A collector’s item for all Stratego lovers! You get it for free, you must only wear it during the two Championship days in 2005.

Secondly to encourage Junior players we have decided to give each Junior player 50 Euros or £ 35 pounds to help with their costs.
We are further pleased to announce that two of Germanys finest players (Jens Schultze and former German Champion Jürgen Winkler) have agreed to participate. Hopefully this will mean that for the first time in history the German Team will beat the Dutch Team.

Costs: rooms

The concept is to combine the Championship entry and accommodation booking processes, making your life and ours easier. This concept encourages more participants to stay in the inexpensive accommodation made available by the University of Manchester, thereby creating more of a convention atmosphere during the event. This accommodation is within 1-2 minutes walk of all the playing rooms.

The costs for the rooms at the University of Manchester including breakfast and entry fees for the tournament are 50 GPB per night.

This means a player that arrives on the Friday and stays Friday night and Saturday night, would pay 100 GBP to participate in this great event.  Extra nights can be bought at a special rate.

Entry fees for taking part in the tournament alone are 28 GPB per tournament day.

There is also 3-star hotel accommodation available on site, but space in the hotel is limited so book early if you prefer the hotel option.
